UNI's
JPEC
Invites Fourth, Fifth Graders to 'Be Their Own Boss' at Summer Camp

Fourth and fifth graders have the opportunity to learn about what it
takes to start a small business at the University of Northern Iowa John
Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center's (JPEC) "Be Your Own Boss" youth
summer camp. The UNI JPEC, in partnership with the Jacobsen Institute
for Youth Entrepreneurship at the University of Iowa, will host the
entrepreneur summer camp June 14-18 in Cedar Falls.
The week-long day camp will teach students how to write a business plan
and develop marketing materials. They will meet with successful
entrepreneurs, tour local businesses and have the opportunity to
present their business ideas at the end of the week.
The camp is held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Lunch, snacks,
materials and a T-shirt are included in the $139 fee. A limited number
of scholarships are available for those in need.

Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and the R. J. McElroy Trust.

provides a range of innovative educational programs and support
services designed for student entrepreneurs. The center provides
expertise in all stages of business planning and development and serves
